Life can become overwhelming for many reasons—anxiety, depression, relationship struggles, grief, past trauma, life transitions, addictions, or simply feeling stuck. Whatever has brought you here, choosing to begin therapy is a courageous first step.
My approach begins by listening to your story and understanding what has shaped your life. Together, we’ll identify not only the challenges you’re facing, but also the strengths and inner resources that can guide your healing. My goal is to help you experience greater freedom, balance, and wholeness so you can live with more confidence, purpose, and peace.
Over the course of my career, I have trained in and integrated a variety of evidence-based approaches to psychotherapy. The model that has most transformed both my clinical work and my understanding of the healing process is Internal Family Systems (IFS).
IFS begins with a simple yet profound insight: we all have different “parts” of ourselves. Perhaps one part of you is anxious while another wants to appear confident. One part longs for closeness while another fears getting hurt. One part is highly self-critical, while another simply wants to rest. Rather than seeing these parts as problems to eliminate, IFS understands that each has developed for a reason and is trying, in its own way, to protect you.
Beneath these parts lies your Core Self—the calm, compassionate, courageous center of who you are. Healing occurs not by fighting against your parts, but by helping them feel understood, release the burdens they carry, and trust the leadership of your Self.
The concept of the Self is reflected in many of the world’s spiritual traditions. In Christianity, it resonates with the belief that we are created in the Imago Dei—the image and likeness of God. In Buddhism, it parallels the qualities of our Buddha-nature: compassion, wisdom, presence, and inner freedom. While Internal Family Systems is not a religious model, many people find that it beautifully complements and deepens their own spiritual journey, whatever their faith tradition.
As a Level 2 Internal Family Systems Therapist, I use this evidence-based model to help individuals heal from anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship difficulties, and many other life challenges. IFS is a deeply respectful and hopeful approach because it recognizes that every part of you has value, and that your capacity for healing already exists within you.
Watch Dr. Richard Schwartz, the founder of Internal Family Systems, provide an introduction to the model.
I believe that effective therapy cares for the whole person. Our physical, emotional, relational, and spiritual lives are deeply interconnected, and lasting growth often comes through bringing greater balance and health to each of these areas.
For many people, spirituality or faith is a central part of who they are, yet it is often overlooked or left outside the therapy room. When it is an important part of a client’s life, I welcome it as an integral part of the healing process, thoughtfully integrating psychological science with each person’s own spiritual beliefs and practices.
This integration of psychology and contemplative spirituality inspired me to develop Healing Your Soul, a ministry that brings together the transformative principles of Internal Family Systems (IFS) with spiritual practices to foster deeper healing, greater freedom, and a more wholehearted life. Through retreats and monthly gatherings, participants are invited to cultivate a compassionate relationship with themselves, with others, and with God.

Meaningful therapy is an investment in your well-being. Like any worthwhile investment, it asks something of you. While financial considerations are important, lasting growth also requires your time, emotional energy, and willingness to engage in the process. Together, these investments create the foundation for meaningful and enduring change.
